How to Play
- Party Settings
- Points
- In the Sequential mode, this determines the target score for the game to end.
- In the Random Timed mode, this sets the starting score from which players' points will decrement during the game.
- Game Modes
- Sequential: Players compete to reach the target score first.
- Random Timed: Players race against time while answering questions. Points decrement as time passes.
- Categories (0/18)
- Selecting no categories or all categories will include questions from all available categories.
- Selecting specific categories will limit questions to those chosen ones.
- General Gameplay Mechanics
- Player Turn Order
- At the start of the game, a turn order is established. Players take turns guessing answers in this predefined sequence.
- This turn order is maintained throughout the game unless modified by game-specific rules.
- Question Pool
- The game selects a random question from the pool. Players compete to guess the correct answer.
- Feedback After Each Guess
- Feedback is provided for every guess:
- If the guess is lower than the correct answer, players are told to guess "higher".
- If the guess is higher than the correct answer, players are told to guess "lower".
- Feedback is visually represented as:
- MIN: The highest guess that is lower than the correct answer.
- MAX: The lowest guess that is higher than the correct answer.
- Next Question
- Once a question is answered correctly, a new random question is drawn automatically unless the game has ended.
- Non-Negative Whole Numbers
- All potential answers are either zero positive integers. Initially:
- MIN starts at 0.
- MAX starts at infinity until guesses narrow the range.
- Game Modes
- Players take turns guessing answers in the established turn order.
- Correct answers earn 1 point for the player who guesses them.
- The first player to reach the target score wins and is removed from active play. Their turn is skipped for subsequent rounds, and their spot in the turn order is passed to the next player (if available).
- Winners can choose to remain in the game as spectators.
- The game begins with a hidden timer divided into three stages where each of them may last maximum of 30 seconds and minimum of 0 seconds. Thus possible time remaining of the hidden timer for each stage would be:
- Stage 1: At most 90 at least 0 seconds.
- Stage 2: At most 60 at least 0 seconds.
- Stage 3: At most 30 at least 0 seconds.
- Gameplay Flow
- When it's a player's turn, they continue guessing until they answer correctly.
- Once the correct answer is given, the turn immediately passes to the next player, and they begin guessing the next question.
- The timer is always active in the background. If the timer expires at any point, the player currently taking their turn loses 1 point, and the game proceeds to the next question with a new timer.
Before starting a game, you can customize your party settings to tailor the experience to your preferences. Here's how the key options work:
You can choose between the following game modes:
Select the question categories you'd like to include in the game.
These rules apply to all game modes:
Example: If the correct answer is 50 and Player A guesses 1, the feedback will say 'higher,' updating MIN to 1. If Player B guesses 75, the feedback will say 'lower,' updating MAX to 75.
